Rev. Jones Earl Corwin
| RBC History - Pastors |
1918-1920
Rev. Jones Earl Corwin came to serve as pastor on September 22, 1918.
At this time there was a debt of $750 on our church and, under his leadership, a solicitation committee was appointed, and on January 9, 1919, an all night prayer meeting started at 8 P.M. and lasted until 6 A.M. to pray for this project. In a matter of weeks the debt was paid and funds were raised toward a goal of $1900 to further complete the basement, which was dedicated on July 30, 1919. A committee was appointed to equip it for a gymnasium and set up rules for its use.
The annual budget for our church in September 1919, was $3120.
Rev. and Mrs. Corwin were musically talented and sang at each service.
On November 9, 1919, Rev. Corwin tendered his resignation to take effect in 90 days or date agreed upon.
