Church Secretaries
| RBC History - Ministries History |
After Miss Storch resigned in April 1961, the church hired Lavon Wiggins as part time secretary until another full time church worker was called. In November 1961, Miss Mary Martin accepted the position as Christian Education worker and secretary. She was with us until July 1963, when she resigned to accept new responsibilities with First Baptist Church in Rockford. She has since married Ronald Molzan, remaining in Rockford where she attends Temple Baptist Church.
After Mary Martin left, the church voted to have a youth pastor and part time secretary instead of a Christian Education worker, so it was then that Carolyn Sahler (Volling) was hired as part time secretary. In subsequent years the following worked part time: LuRae Minter, Shirley Brixey (Jones), Marge Harbit (Burns) and Rose Harbit (Gilbert). It was in September 1967, that the church felt the need of a full time secretary, and Lavon Wiggins was hired and held the position for eight years.
Since then the secretaries have been Judy LeGrand, Cathy Bergstrom, Ruthmary Griparis, Linda Weaver, Karen (Freer) Palmer, Carol Searles, Barbara Durham, Suzy Schindler, Heather Boe, Dawn Byseid (school), and our present secretaries, Barbara Bolton (church) and Amy Mitchell (school).
